Howling Under the Stars – Handmade Wolf Family Figurine Set on Night Sky Base
This little scene was inspired by the quiet beauty of a night spent under the stars. I sculpted and painted this miniature wolf family from scratch, using air-dry clay and high-quality acrylic paints. The set includes three figures: a big wolf (about 7 cm / 2.75 in tall), and two smaller pups (the tiniest is about 4.5 cm / 1.77 in tall). They’re gathered close together, all howling in unison — a soft and touching moment frozen in time.
The figurines are placed on a round clay dish that I also made and painted by hand. The dark blue background, dotted with warm golden-yellow splashes, reminds me of a starry night sky — calm, deep, and full of quiet magic. Everything is finished with a coat of glossy transparent varnish to protect the colors and give a gentle shine.
This piece makes a warm and meaningful gift for any parent — whether for Mother's Day, Father's Day, or just because. It can also be a lovely keepsake for those who appreciate nature, family bonds, or gentle woodland themes.
