Funny Cat Miniature Artwork - Unique Medieval Illumination Inspired Decor
I am a great fan of Medieval art and illumination, and I always smile when I see those ancient depictions of cats. It’s interesting—cats were common in Europe, and people saw them every day, but artists portrayed them in a peculiar way. They seemed to strive for something beyond a realistic image, as if they were trying to capture a cat's fluid personality.
I think most people would agree that Medieval images of cats are utterly charming. When I decided to create my own Medieval cat drawing, I chose to depict the most famous cat pose, which I believe fits well with the perception of the Middle Ages.
I created this Medieval Cat using colored pencils and added finishing touches with gold-tone metallic paint. To enhance its authenticity, I selected a special antique-looking gold-painted frame, making it appear as if it had arrived directly from the Middle Ages.
The drawing of the cat measures 3 x 3 inches (8 x 8 cm), while the framed artwork measures 7.6 x 7.6 inches (19.3 x 19.3 cm).
If you love cats and Medieval art or are searching for a unique gift for a fellow cat lover, you won’t find anything more special than my little drawing.
