Hindu Goddess Lakshmi, goddess of Wealth, Power and Beauty wood burned plaque
Hindu goddess Lakshmi is the Mother goddess, both the wife and divine energy (shakti) of the Hindu god Vishnu. On this wood burned plaque she is represented as a beautiful woman sitting on a riverbank and holding a canonical lotus flower that symbolizes fortune, self-knowledge, and spiritual liberation. A temple can be seen behind her back in a distance, and abundant fish are playing in the river beside her.
The whole wood burned picture is beautiful and full of clear and hidden spiritual meanings, and can be a great gift for someone who nurtures his/her spirituality.
The design for this plaque was taken from the Dover coloring book (created by Marty Noble) and transferred to a thick plywood plaque by means of pyrography (wood burning).
The plaque was covered with water-based transparent varnish for beauty and endurance.
