Black Cat Beaded Brooch – Egyptian-Inspired Jewelry in Black and Gold
I created this brooch from fine Japanese Miyuki delica beads in deep black with golden accents, forming the strong and mysterious face of a cat. The shape is large enough to be expressive yet still elegant, with a stylized Egyptian eye glimmering from within the design.
The cat, often linked to Egyptian goddesses like Bastet, has long been a symbol of strength, independence, and mystery. I wanted this piece to reflect that same spirit – a touch of ancient symbolism brought into modern style. I think it can suit anyone who loves cats, especially black ones, or who feels a connection to that untamed, confident energy.
The back is lined with soft dark blue felt, so it feels smooth and comfortable when worn while also keeping the brooch durable.
