Nautical Trinket Box – Hand-Burned with Seashell and Starfish Design
I made this little box as a small reminder of the sea—quiet, light, and simple, with the kind of details that bring back warm sand, shells, and long hours near the water.
It is made of solid wood and decorated by woodburning. Around the side runs a gentle nautical pattern with seashells and a large starfish in the middle, while the lid carries a circle of small fish moving around another starfish. The drawing is clear and playful, but still calm, and the natural color of the wood keeps it soft and easy on the eye.
What I like in this piece is that it stays close to natural things. It does not shine, it does not try to impress, and it does not feel artificial. The wood has its own warmth, and the burned lines sit quietly in the surface, as if the design belongs there.
