Sterling Silver Jewelry Set with Rainforest Jasper – Pendant and Earrings
This set began with the stones. Rainforest jasper often has a lot going on inside, but these three felt especially right together — each one slightly different, yet clearly related.

I made the settings in sterling silver, shaping them around the stones in small, rounded segments. The silver is smoothly polished, and because of that, it reflects light in a way that makes it look softer than it actually is — almost as if it had slowly formed around the stones and then settled into place.
There is something in this piece that reminds me of Arts and Crafts jewelry — where the material is not forced into perfection, but allowed to stay close to its natural character. The stones lead, and the silver follows.
