I love Nature and ancient mythology, and I often find there the truth and the strength of the kind that you can't find in the modern world, and it fills me with energy and inspires me to create art.
Pagan goddesses, and Sedna in particular, have a special place in my heart. Sedna's legend serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world. She represents the deep connection and interdependence between humans and the oceans, urging us to respect and protect the delicate ecosystems that sustain life on Earth.
When I created this artwork I wanted to invite you to celebrate the beauty of the natural world and our harmonious relationship with it and to feel stronger and more independent.
People often say that I capture incessant movement in my art; for me, it's the movement of life itself.
I used grattage to create this art because I love the the rough texture it gives to my artwork.
